Cosmic Currents began spontaneously, with the simple idea of a turtle flying through the cosmos. With no real plan, the painting seemed to flow into being, opening up a world that felt vast, dreamlike and full of possibility.

There is something about outer space that feels infinitely expansive - a place beyond the familiar, where anything seems possible. Looking back, this painting became a bridge into the work that followed, inspiring the otherworldly and celestial qualities that continue to appear throughout my Ocean Wonders series.

Both the deep ocean and space hold a sense of mystery - vast worlds extending beyond what we can see or know, with always somewhere further to go and something left to discover.

Cosmic Currents is about trusting the journey without needing to know exactly where it leads; following what calls to you and staying open to what becomes possible when you move beyond the familiar and into the unknown.
